BrightPath Kids Quincy - Classic

Weather:

Parents, we advise that you dress more for the weather than the kids, as you are not moving as much as the kids are.  We do play in the rain, and rain boots are welcome on Soccer Island!  A positive parent perspective about the pain can help your player be positive.  The kids typically have a wonderful time splashing in the mud and piddles, but we do advise that in these instances, you come prepared with an umbrella and jacket in case you do not.  

Cancellations:

As mentioned above, we do play in the rain, but in the even we do need to cancel a session for any reason, we will do so at least an hour before the session start time.  We will post cancellations on our Facebook page and will send communications to the phone number and email submitted at registration, so make sure your contact information is up to date!  If needed, make-up sessions will take place one week after the season's end at the exact location and time.  There is only one attempted makeup session (weather allowing) per season due to park permits.  At schools we will do our best to utilize indoor areas to complete the session, sometimes we may have to re-schedule at the school's convenience.  

Involvement:

If you are enrolled in a mini session at a park where a parent is required to be on Soccer Island, only one (1) parent may be present on soccer island per child.  Siblings and other family members are more than welcome to watch and cheer outside of soccer island, but as a courtesy to the other players, we find this to be the best way to help the little ones stay focused and ensure that they have plenty of space.    

Seating:

For our park programs, please also keep in mind that while some locations do have bleachers and benches nearby, we do not provide additional seating for those viewing the sessions.  We highly advise bringing a folding chair or blanket if you prefer not to sit or stand on the grass.  Some locations also do not have restrooms available, so please plan accordingly.  

Water:

We recommend that you bring/send a water bottle for your child as they will be active, and hydration is especially important during the hot summer months.  We will be taking water breaks every session, as needed to make sure everyone has the energy always to try their best.  

Support:

Lastly, everyone has tough days, so please expect your child to have a tough day here or there, as they are kids.  We promise this is VERY normal.  On Soccer Island, we know everyone learns differently and at different paces, which is why we make sure to end every sessions with a cheer to celebrate our progress and always try our best.
